Decadence by Marc Jacob

This fall Marc Jacobs will launch his new fragrance, Decadence.

Like his other fragrances (or should we say girls), Decadence has it's very own personality - sexy and sophisticated!

“I like the idea of that extrovert, that show-off, and I like the things that symbolize her — whether it’s the beads or the feathers or the sequins,” said Jacobs of his newest girl. “It’s all the trappings of the extrovert more interesting to me than they ever were before.”

The Relaunch of Stella

Stella McCartney has relaunched her signature scent Stella. While the scent is the same, the packaging is different and there are new bottle sizes.

The new packaging features a plum-colored outer carton covered in embossed gold polka dots. The fragrance is made with licensee Procter & Gamble.

The scent originally launched in 2003 was made with YSL Beauté. It has a top note of rose essence fused with peony flower and mandarin essence, while the heart note is based on rose absolute. The base notes include woody ambers.

The new Stella range features an eau de parfum in 30-, 50- and 100-ml bottles, and a 200-ml body lotion.

Jessica Simpson's New Signature Fragrance

This August Jessica Simpson is launching a new signature fragrance, simple named, Jessica Simpson.

“When it’s just my name, my heart is definitely in it,” said Simpson. “There were things about this fragrance that took me to a different place. It was exciting. It’s more sophisticated. It’s a little mature.”

The Jessica Simpson scent is an amalgam of citrus, clementine, nectarine, pomegranate and apricot in the opening notes; frangipani, night-blooming jasmine, orange flower and tiger lily in the middle notes, and white chocolate vanilla bean, sandalwood, tonka bean and driftwood in the base notes. It is priced at $65 for a 3.4-oz. edp spray, $49 for a 1.7-oz. edp spray, $35 for a 1-oz. edp spray, and $18 for a 0.2-oz. roller ball.

GIRL: Pharrell's New Fragrance

Grammy Award-winning Pharrell Williams has conceived his first fragrance, a unisex scent named "Girl".

“There should be no lines — I learned that from Comme des Garçons,” said Williams during an interview in London. “Hence, Girl — for girls and boys. We just found another way to say unisex,” added Williams, whose scent, a collaboration with Comme des Garçons Parfum SA, will launch in London on Sept. 1.

Chanel Launches Coco Noir

In 1984, the original Coco scent was introduced to the world, and then in 2001 Coco Mademoiselle was introduced. And on August 17th, Chanel will introduce it's third fragrance Coco Noir.

Coco Noir pays homage to the memory of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, who once said “a woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future".

Noir has top notes of grapefruit and Calabrian bergamot; a heart of rose absolute, rose essence, jasmine absolute, narcissus and rose geranium leaf, and a drydown of Brazilian tonka bean, Venezuelan tonka bean, Indonesia patchouli, New Caledonian sandalwood, bourbon vanilla and white musk frankincense. The bottle black with gold accents and is the classic Coco shape.

Marchesa's New Fragrance

Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig plan to launch their first scent, Marchesa Parfume d’Extase, in September.

“Eveningwear evokes an emotion, and this scent does the same thing,” said Chapman, the label’s designer, who cofounded the line with business partner Craig in 2004. Much like the duo’s red carpet gowns, the bottle features plenty of detail and sparkle. Craig and Chapman worked with Malin Ericson of Vanessa Stevens + Company to create a clear faceted bottle that evokes raw quartz crystal banded with hand-set crystal accents resembling a bow. “We looked at our handbags and the signature crystals they have, and we really wanted to incorporate that element,” said Chapman.

Mercedes Benz First Men's Fragrance

German auto maker Mercedes Benz announced plans at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes to launch it's first fragrance for men. The new fragrance is simply called Mercedes-Benz and will be available in special retail stores. 

The luxury car maker is not new to fragrances and perfumes, those who drive a Maybach or Mercedes-Benz S 600 Pullman already know the exclusively developed fragrance for those select models. Now the company has decided to tackle the prestige fragrance market and go more main-stream with it.

Beyonce Promotes Pulse In New York City


Last week, Beyonce was at Macy's in New York City promoting her third perfume, Pulse. She was glowing and looking especially GRAND in an all white House of Dereon piece. She just returned from London with her mother, Tine Knowles, where they showed House of Dereon.

The stunning songstress, greeted, took photos and chatted with the 500 fans that came to purchase her new fragrance.
