Hello Loves,

IT'S FRIDAY!!!! Hello to the weekend! What are your plans?

About seven or eight years ago I read the book 'Good To Great' by John Collins. He discussed how to take a mediocre or good company and turn it into a great company. Years later, the one thing that still stands out in my mind is how he discussed getting the right people on the bus. The "bus" refers to the team moving in a forward motion toward greatness. This concept can be applied to business as well as your everyday living. Who did you let on your bus? And please believe, everyone does not deserve a seat! Do you have a great team?

When building your team, each person needs to have a specialty. You must trust and allow each team member to do what they do! Be choosy with your selection, there are lots of people who specialize in a field but you have to make sure their style will mesh with everyone riding the bus. You must be able to seat them appropriately then get  in the drivers seat and concentrate, with confidence, on the road. You can't be babysitting and making sure everyone is in their seats and following the rules of the road! Have you ever been in a car with a bunch of rowdy children or arguing with your significant other...get the picture!

If you are taking your small business to a medium/large business, a well educated and knowledgeable leader must each head department: accounting, operations, legal, human resources and so on. This concept also hold true when considering starting and building a family. Each partner must be able to bring something different however, balanced. You can not bring the exact same things or else it won't work. Let's be realistic, imagine two people with OCD, you get the picture. And teach your children how to become part of the team, they are riding the bus too!

Today's Advice: You may need to re-access and kick some people off your team! Or maybe your team needs to find a new captain. However it goes, you can not achieve success without the help of someone else. Behind any successful person, there is a GREAT team. But hey, you know how I feel, it has to be more than great, it must be GRAND!!!!

Who's on your bus? I hope you chose wisely! If you are on a team and get kicked off today, don't be mad at me!!!!

Check out Don Sauna, formerly known as Sauna Kid, in the GLD Artist Showcase. Take the poll and tell us what you think about 'The Don Sauna Tapes'. Is Don Sauna the next hip hop phenom?

Next Tuesday, Part II of the 'Get your mind right' series. If you haven't yet, check out Part I: Stay in your lane! You are NOT going to want to miss what I have coming next!

Peace and Blessings, back on Monday!
