Michael Kors to Launch Bradshaw 100 for Watch Hunger Stop

In October, Michael Kors will launch Bradshaw 100. For each watch sold, 100 children in a hunger strciken area will receive a nutritious meal.  The Bradshaw 100 comes in two versions — black with a silver-tone dial and gold-tone with a gold-tone dial. Both sport a detailed map of the world etched on the face and Kors’ signature engraved on the back, along with Watch Hunger Stop and the Message “1 Watch = 100 Meals.” The limited-edition watches will be available exclusively in Michael Kors stores worldwide and michaelkors.com. They retail for $295.

The Bradshaw 100 is the latest addition to Kors' Watch Hunger Stop initiative. In 2013, Kors entered in to a partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme.
Kors was named WFP's global ambassador to stop hunger. To date, sales of Kors’ Watch Hunger Stop collection of watches has helped deliver more than 10 million meals to hungry children around the world. For every watch sold, Kors donates $25 to WFP.

“My goal in creating these pieces is to offer our customers something desirable that not only raise money but also raise awareness and get people talking,” said Kors. “When you wear a watch from the Watch Hunger Stop collection, you become an ambassador for the cause, and so far the response has been incredible.”

In 2013, Halle Berry teamed with Kors to bring awareness. Berry visited a WFP site in Nicaragua, the second-poorest nation in the Americas, seeing first-hand how the WFP’s School Meals program worked.

This year Kate Hudson has teamed up with Kors. The first project to feature Hudson and Kors together will be the October launch of the Bradshaw watch. Also during the month of October, in conjunction with World Food Day on Oct. 16, customers and visitors to Kors retail stores will be able to make a $4, $10 or $25 donation to WFP at the register.
