Usher's Son Is Doing Well After Pool Accident

The son of Usher nearly drowned in an Atlanta pool and was in the hospital Tuesday, authorities said.

Five-year-old Usher Raymond V on Monday fell to the bottom of pool behind a home downtown and became stuck in the drain, according to Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos' report.
A housekeeper tried to get to the boy, but was unable to free him from the drain, Campos said. Two men who were working at the home as audio-visual subcontractors were called to help.
The boy was eventually pulled from the pool, and given CPR by one of the contractors.
Campos said the boy was "conscious, alert and breathing" when paramedics arrived before 4 p.m. He was at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish
The near drowning of the singer's son comes nearly a year after Usher's 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, died after being critically injured in a boating accident.
