Last week it was announced that Pink would also be representing CoverGirl in various advertisements.
Monae's signature style is wearing a Tuxedo and calls it her "uniform." She is an unconventional beauty, with a grand style all of her own. She is a trendsetter and this move is a huge for both Monae and CoverGirl. With Pink and Monae we hope this a steady stride in the direction of diversity, edge and raw sex appeal. Monae's first CoverGirl ads will appear in the Vogue September 2012 issue.
Most recently, Monae had a guest vocal on the hit song "We Are Young" with the band Fun. The song hit no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was her first appearance in the U.S. Top 10.
