Kim Kardashian fans chose a stunning wedding gown designed by Beverly Hills couturier, Simin, for the reality queen; well not the one she wore at her wedding to New Jersey Nets player, Kris Humphries. The gown chosen by 3,000 fans was for her new wax figure unveiled on Thursday, August 18th at Madame Tussauds Hollywood.
Fans of Kim Kardashian got to see a wax figure, costing $300,000, of the reality TV queen, up close and personal in her wedding gown, and a diamond and emerald necklace costing $1million dollars by La Valencia. It is said to be worth a cool six figures and features a ball gown like structure with a bejewelled form-fitting bodice and a fairy tale-like 20 foot silk train.
The event was hosted by celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton. "Everyone is so excited for the Kim Kardashian wedding because in America we haven't had a royal wedding, the Brits had William and Kate so Kim and whats his face, no I'm kidding, Kim and Kris are the closest we're getting to a royal wedding in a long time," said Hilton.
"So a lot of people are excited, a lot of people showed up at Madame Tussauds here. I was excited to be here, especially because I think this unveiling was the unofficial kick off for Kim's weekend of festivities leading up to her wedding, " he added.
The real Kim Kardashian wore a Vera Wang wedding gown for her nuptials. The ceremony took place at a black tie affair in Montecito, California on Saturday, August 20, 2011.
