Money To Blow, Vol 5

ESLYN W
Over the Top Bottled Water

Water is no longer just water. This may come as a surprise; water is becoming a very expensive resource.  People pay money for water every day, even though it’s free in the majority of places on Earth. So if we’re already paying for it and shelling out big bucks in some cases, why not pay a lot for it, right?  Whether it is a bottle of water that costs $1,570 or a bling H2O for a cool million, it’s surely for the uber-rich who have a stylish lifestyle and can splurge for these expensive sparkling jewel-embedded bottles of water.
Checkout the list of expensive bottled water:

1.  24-karat gold Altamirano glass bottle - $60,000

The bottle is designed by an Italian artist Fernando Altamirano with excellent craftsmanship and beautiful design.  For the people who are collectors of opulent bottles, this 24-karat gold bottle is one of the most expensive water bottles. The bottle helps a foundation that combat global warming around the globe, as it contains water from different springs from all over the world.
2.  Exousia Luxury 24 karat gold water bottle - $24,000

You can now look younger by just sipping a glass of this exclusive gold bottled water. This is the world’s first luxury water based on 24 carat gold.  Coming with infusions of anti-aging and anti-stress components, the liquid works due to a wonderful interplay of pure gold exousia with water particles.

3.  The Dubai Collection "The Ten Thousand" bling h2O – $2,600

Ten thousand bling h2O bottles are encrusted with ten thousand hand-applied Swarovski crystals. The made to order bottle comes with a certified number and is delivered with a handling case and white gloves.

4.  Fillico Beverly Hills - $100 &

Hello Kitty bottle - $500

Coming out of Japan, the bottles of water are made of frosted glass with gold paint and Swarovski crystal accents -- and for about double the price you can add gold wings and/or a gold or silver crown to the bottle (in center shown is a set of "King and Queen").  The Hello Kitty Festooned with Swarovski crystals, luxury bottled water comes in five colors that represent different themes - Red (friendship), Pink (cute), yellow (heartful), green (wish) and lavender (sweet). A single bottle comes for $100 and the whole collection is priced at $500. However not sure why they put "Beverly Hills" in the name, since the water is from a spring in Kobe and as of now it is mostly being distributed at the Ritz Carlton in Tokyo

5.  Exclusive Christian Lacroix bottles – $9.99
Two beautiful bottles are intricately designed by the elite fashion design house Christian Lacroix  for French water company Evian.  The pret-a-porter and haute couture are the two versions of the bottles-- a snowy lace pattern while the Haute Couture version comes in a glass fabric in the form of a ice queen carrying a capacious alpine skirt. The bottles are a clear indication of a dose of opulence to the filthy-rich

In Hollywood it seems as if people flaunt their bottled water like it is part of their presentation. However, given  there are  plenty of people around the world, 1.1 billion to be exact, who need access to clean water, and it costs a whole lot less than a crystal encrusted bottle of water, I would guess it’s not for everyone, just for those that Bling!
