Living Your Best Life

We all make resolutions, while I am not a believer in making New Year’s resolution. I do believe when I want to do something at that moment I just do it without procrastination.  Ever ask yourself why you fail or give up early on in your New Year’s resolution. I certainly do not believe it’s because you aim too high, it is more a lack of planning. You know baby steps, studies show once you do something consistently it becomes habit.

Think about it, the top things on your list may be to lose weight, get finances in order, have a more loving relationship, travel more, start a business and the list goes on. In order to make our dreams and wants a reality we must affirm them. By this I mean transforming these ideas into tangible goals.

  • Write them down and keep a copy in front of you every day.
  • Stay Positive and surround yourself with people who have the same outlook and who will be supportive of you and your ideas.
  • Remove the words “CAN’T and I AM AFRAID” from your vocabulary and replace them “I WILL” and “I CAN”.
  • Motivation- Make a conscience decision to accomplish at least one activity a day.
  • Positive Mental Attitude will determine whether you view your life as a disaster or success.
  • The 3 P’s Patience, Persistence, Perseverance, it may seem like your goals are a long way off, but with consistency, determination you can achieve anything you put your mind to.
  • FOCUS -Studies show that people tend to stay focused on a particular activity if that activity has the following components:
-         A specific goal
-         A way to measure results or keep score
-         Control over the situation
-         Rewards for achieving the goal

The task in front of you right now is to plan your work and then work your plan. Define your goals clearly (write them down, keep them in front of you!), stay focused on them, and keep a positive mental attitude and enlist someone who will hold your feet to the fire. You will get there - whatever that means for you. And remember “If You Dream It You Can Achieve It”!
