Tuesday, October 12 - JUST SAY NO!

Hey Loves,

Do you realize that it's always the same people with their hand out? For whatever favor they need; be it help with a project, a ride, to borrow money, etc. And then it's these same people that want to get mad when you say no. No, you are not going to walk all over me! No, you can't borrow my money! No, your run is up - the fat lady is singing!!!

It can become draining constantly giving of yourself and receiving no reciprocation. In order for a relationship to sustain it's health their must be an equal give and receive. You must feel like it's worth it. If you find yourself avoiding or becoming annoyed at a person because their hand is constantly out like a cup. Let me be the one to tell you, the problem is you!!! Adults, like children, will ask and test the waters until the boundaries are drawn.

I am telling you, it is OK to say NO! When you say it, make sure it's loud and clear so the beggar understands that you meant what you said. If said correctly, they will not be coming back...well no time soon because some people just have no shame.

Today's Advice: JUST SAY NO!!!

Remember the just say no campaign? Well, I am starting one for all the darn beggars. Who's joining my campaign?

~Me

P.S. Beggars need not comment!

I am here to tell you it is ok to say NO!!! You can give folks a Hand Up not constant HAND OUTS. I often as myself at what point do you become accountable for "yourself". If the one you are constantly asking for something is not around what would you do? Figure it out! or you just won't have what you need.

"You can give folks a Hand Up not constant HAND OUTS." yes, well put eslyn!

i agree. it's funny because, when you do start saying “NO” to your leech, somehow - someway, YOU are now to blame for that person's short comings. somehow YOU are responsible for that person not having a car, not having a home, not having their lights on. i have a long list of people i would like to ask "when are YOU going to become accountable for yourself?"

the song “it aint my fault” somehow comes to mind…
