Red is The Summer's Hottest Trend

Celebrities are seeing red this summer and it's not because if the heat. From bright and bold to rouge and rust, Hollywood's hottest leading ladies are wearing red.

"You know we're so used to seeing black on the red carpet, it's refreshing to see the 'it' color of right now, red. Red is absolutely everywhere. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have been rocking the red," says Alicia Quarles, The Global Entertainment Editor for the Associated Press.
At "Friends with Benefits" premiere in New York Emma Stone wore a color-blocked Giambattista Valli while the film's star Mila Kunis donned a classic dress by Lanvin.

"Emma Stone wore red, but she did a little twist on it," explains Quarles."She also had pink on the bottom and you don't often see those colors paired, but she looked like Valentine's Day."

Hayley Atwell was also right on trend at the Los Angeles premiere of "Captain America".  "L'Wren Scott made this for me and I kind of collaborated with her. We just wanted something that was kind of classic but also had a bit of a modern twist to it. I feel like a princess," said Atwell.

"Entourage" star Emmanuelle Chriqui went with a form-fitting little red dress by Plastic Island Cosima for the "Friends with Benefits" premiere and then a flowing red gown with black detail for the "Entourage" season 8 premiere the following night.

"You know I've got to say, who wore it best, drum roll, it's got to go to Emmanuelle at the 'Entourage' premiere because it wasn't just that she wore red, it's that she wore red in a glamorous kind of way. It was very Grecian, it wasn't form-fitting and it had this black, kind of halter neck and then her shoes, the blacked matched and she had her hair swooped up. She looked like a modern day Audrey Hepburn in red," says Quarles.

Quarles also says anyone can nab this celebrity look, if they use the bold color sparingly.

"The key is that if you're wearing red don't go over the with your jewelry or your makeup or your shoes whatever piece of red you're wearing needs to be the statement piece, whether it be a red lip, a red shirt, or red shoes," she says.
